hey there, i got my industrial done  july 14th, so like two months ago almost, and i started cleaning it with anti- bacterial soap ,and peroxide, for a month, but then not too long ago, my friend told me that peroxide is a horrible thing to use, and he recommended neosporin, so i'm trying that, i clean my pericing with the soap, in the shower and with the neosporin at night, and i also have red bumps which have been there for a while already, and the top bump bleeds when i try to clean it, and its a dark color, but i believe thats because of the blood.

and i want to know what is going on with my ear, and is everything alright.  Also just for your information, sometimes i take out the barbell to wash around the ear, i had a long barbell but i took that out and put the right size for me.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP CLEANING YOUR PIERCING.  The reason you are having such a hard time is that you are OVERCLEANING and this is irritating your piercing.

There is no need to use neosporin either as its not infected but severely irritated.  Aftercare is for kickstarting the body to do the healing any more than 2 weeks and the body will eventually get very mad with you and you develop these problems.  When you  bleeding so long after they were pierced, did it not concern you?

Leave the piercings alone.  Do not clean with anything other than letting water run over them or when you wash your hair, some soap will get into the piercings just let warm water run over the piercings and this will flush any soap out of the area.

We are happy that you found the right side barbell as this will take some of the pressure off the ear.

ok, yea i've stopped cleaning it  on thursday night, and it was bleeding a little that night, but probably because i was messing with it.  Its not bleeding anymore, and i've left it alone, and so far i think i'm seeing a change, but i'm not sure.

I'm also curious, the lumps are getting hard now that i'm not cleaning the piercing, and my friend told me i should pop them because its puss.... but i didnt want to touch it,  what should i do? i'm also worried that i might have keloid... do i?

oh, just to let you know, the bleeding was not going on since the day i got it pierced, it starting bleeding not too long ago, but only when i messed with the top part of my ear... but like i said i stopped, and thanks alot for the advice

We have been extremely busy and could not respond earlier.  How are your piercings doing?  How are the bumps?  Are they shrinking at all?  If not, please write back and we will give you a little trick to help reduce them.  Just to let you know, they are probably not filled with puss.  They have been there too long and they would have popped already before this time.

Yes, they can become keloid but this takes several months and if you do not see a shrinkage at all, please write.

Glad to know that they are no longer bleeding and that you are not touching them anymore.

As long as you are bothering the piercing, you will have problems.  It does take a little time for the body to elminate the bump once it has developed.

Please write to us privately and we will send you a method to reduce the bump.
